Anxiety is a universal emotion. Modern life is filled with worries and troubles, long hours, fast paced workplaces, and commuter traffic. It is not surprising that many people experience anxiety.
As a sufferer of bipolar disorder I often suffer from bouts of anxiety. I would like to share some of the ways I have learned to manage anxiety in my day to day life. I am not a psychiatric professional, just an individual who has had to learn to manage anxiety in my day to day life.
The goal of this website is to talk about ways of easing and managing anxiety and stress without the use of drugs. Prescription psychiatric medicine can be useful or even essential for some people, and users of medication do not deserve to be stigmatized. Whether controlling your anxiety involves the use of medication or not, day to day anxiety can be, if not completely erased, eased and managed through the use of mental and physical techniques.
However, if you are experiencing serious and ongoing anxiety that is affecting your ability to live your life or function as you should, you may have an anxiety disorder or other mental health condition. If you think this may be the case, please visit a medical professional or psychiatrist.
